I’m a freelance artist based in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, inspired by faith, worship, and the beauty of God’s creation.
About Me
To me, life is a symphony of color—every moment, every sound, and every season is all a part of God’s ever-evolving masterpiece of existence – and He is the Composer. I believe that in life, “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). I strive for my art to reflect this truth, capturing the ever-changing, yet intentional, beauty of God’s creation.
Growing up, I always dreamed of being an artist and a musician, but I had no access to art or music education. Coming from a lower-class family, we couldn’t afford such luxuries, so I taught myself art and music by observing the world around me. I would often wander about with my headphones on, singing, sketching, and writing. While I was able to make colorful melodies with my voice, I was never able to translate that same color into my sketches. It was as if I was living life in black and white.
That all changed after I lost my mother to cancer when I was 25. In my grief, I prayed for God to help me paint as a way of healing. Soon after, I had the most restless dreams—colors colliding and conceiving new shades and hues. It was overwhelming, almost tormenting. When I awoke, I was never the same. I no longer saw art in black and white but in color. From that moment on, my art became an expression of the vision God placed within me. A vision of color and life.
God often gives me visions that I bring to life on canvas. Many of my pieces are born from worship, where I not only feel His presence but also see glimpses of His own artistry. Music is often deeply woven into my creative process—I don’t just paint; I invite sound and emotion to become a picture, where melody and color intertwine, materializing into something we can see and touch.
Using a blend of traditional and contemporary techniques, I create pieces that I hope inspire, uplift, and remind others of God’s love and care. Whether through personal projects or commissioned work, my hope is that my art stirs faith and encourages others to see a loving God manifested through art.
On a personal note, when I’m not painting, you’ll find me enjoying music, journaling, or simply spending time with my family. I am a wife and mother to three wonderful children. My husband and I have been together for over 20 years, and our journey has been one of love, faith, and growth. My family is my greatest blessing, and they continue to inspire me every day. Despite my upbringing and the disadvantages I faced early in life, I can now say that I am both an artist and musician, just as I had always longed to be. And God continues to take what seems to be impossible with men and make it a reality, proving that nothing is beyond His reach.
“Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” – Jeremiah 32:17
